Dozens Turn up to 'Storm Area 51' Reports say about 75-100 people <br />gathered early Friday morning at <br />the government base. The original Facebook event started as <br />a joke, but quickly morphed into <br />a phenomenon. At one point, over two million people committed to "storm Area 51 to see aliens." Portland, Oregon resident Nathan Brown, <br />to 'The Las Vegas Review-Journal' Festivals near the facility in Nevada were created to accommodate visitors. According to 'The Guardian,' <br />over 1,500 people attended <br />these previous events. Las Vegas sociologist Michael Ian Borer, <br />via 'The Guardian' 'The Guardian' adds that the <br />government did not arrest anyone <br />who showed up to the gate. Local sheriffs say its because the <br />land around Area 51 leading up <br />to its entrance is public.
