Organisers of the Pulska Xica 10K night race in Croatia nearly had a non-starter on their hands when the inflatable arch through which competitors run at the beginning of the event collapsed.<br /><br />Officials and participants were filmed on Saturday night (September 21) desperately trying to re-inflate the drooping arch and later attempting to hold it up so that runners to make their way underneath. <br /><br />Eventually, the arch was inflated enough so that the event could get underway safely.
