Jodie Comer Wins Outstanding <br />Lead Actress at 2019 Emmy Awards Comer won for her portrayal <br />of a Russian assassin, Villanelle, <br />in the BBC America drama series, 'Killing Eve.' This was Comer's first <br />Emmy nomination. In winning the lead actress <br />in a drama Emmy, she beat <br />out her co-star, actress Sandra Oh. She also won over 'Game of Thrones' <br />star Emilia Clarke, Viola Davis, Mandy <br />Moore, Robin Wright and Laura Linney. Comer's win is for the <br />second season of 'Killing Eve.' The series was also nominated <br />for outstanding drama series, <br />clinched this year by HBO's <br />'Game of Thrones.' 'Killing Eve' has been <br />renewed for a third season.
