This is the adorable moment a baby elephant was spotted rolling on the ground and playing with the stick.

Former school teacher Leslie Temanson, 70, was visiting the Thai Elephant Home in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand when he saw the youngster having fun.

Footage from September 9 shows how baby elephant T Noi was rolling and playing in the nursery field.

Leslie, who is from America and is currently working as an international NGO development director, said he had 'adopted' T Noi as a sponsored elephant.

He said: "I rescued his mother Mae Noi four years ago and then she bared a male baby elephant and I named him T Noi. He is one-year-old now.

"T Noi is a very playful baby, he always does funny things like picking up and twirling the stick. And since I have no wife or children myself, I consider T Noi to be my adopted son."
