South Korea's foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha will purportedly be meeting her newly-appointed Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi later this week.<br />An unnamed source said the meeting will happen on Thursday in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.<br />If realized, the two will likely discuss ongoing disputes on histotical issues, as well as trade.<br />Kang will also meet her Chinese counterpart on Wednesday morning to discuss issues on the Korean peninsula.<br />Meanwhile, an official at Seoul's foreign ministry says there are no plans yet of a Seoul-Washington foreign ministers' meeting, or a three-way sit-down with the U.S. and Japan.<br />
