U.S. President Donald Trump claims his administration may reach a trade deal with China sooner than expected.<br />Speaking to reporters in New York on Wednesday after inking a trade deal with Japan, Trump added that Beijing wants to make a deal very badly, and the Chinese were already making big agricultural purchases from the U.S., including beef and pork.<br />Over the past year, the world's two largest economies have imposed tariffs on billions of dollars worth of the other's goods.<br />Trade negotiations between senior U.S. and China officials are expected to resume in Washington early next month.<br />
