U.S. President Donald Trump claims his administration might reach a trade deal with China sooner than expected.<br /> Speaking to reporters in New York on Wednesday after signing a trade deal with Japan, Trump said Beijing very badly wants a deal, and the Chinese, he said, are already making big agricultural purchases from the U.S., including beef and pork.<br />Over the past year, the world's two largest economies have imposed tariffs on billions of dollars worth of each other's goods.<br />High-level trade talks are due to resume next month. <br />
