Starting tomorrow, working parents will be able to enjoy greater paternity or maternity benefits.<br />The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced a revision to the law to expand the cut in labor hours for employees whose children are 8 years old or younger. <br /> Before the changes, employees whose children are younger than 8, are entitled to apply for a leave or a cut in labor hours for a maximum of one year in total.<br />Starting from Tuesday, such employees can work shorter hours for up to two years.<br /> Also, male workers will now be able to take up to ten paid days of paternity leave, up 7 days from the current 3 days.<br />The latest measures are part of efforts to help raise engagement of working fathers in child rearing. <br />
