A driver allegedly from the cab service app Lyft was arrested during a trip in Jacksonville, Florida on September 18.<br /><br />Footage captured by a passenger shows the driver being escorted out of the vehicle and subdued on the side of the road.<br /><br />The filmer told Newsflare: "[The] Lyft driver was going 80 in a 55 on the highway and gets pulled over by police while in the middle of our Lyft ride. <br /><br />"[He] banters with the officer in a very confrontational way. <br /><br />"Then ignores the officer's orders to say in the car. <br /><br />"He jumps out of the car and gets into an altercation with the officer, and is subsequently arrested."<br /><br />They later added: "I was nervous from the start as my Lyft driver was speeding but refused to admit any guilt. <br /><br />"He seemed to be very confrontational. <br /><br />"I filmed this as protection for myself in this ordeal in case this situation escalated and thank goodness I did."<br /><br />Lyft has been contacted for comment.
