US Millennials Are Leaving High-Priced Cities According to the U.S. Census Bureau, nearly 30,000 ditched <br />major cities last year. The bureau accounted for <br />people aged 25 to 39 years old. A report from Axios says the moves <br />are mainly due to rising house costs. It adds that young people are mostly re-locating to suburbs outside <br />of high-priced cities. Major urban areas where young people are fleeing include Chicago and Washington, D.C. 'The Wall Street Journal' says <br />that some affordable cities are <br />seeing a rise in millennials. These areas include <br />Austin, Texas, and <br />Columbus, Ohio. According to SmartAsset, a 2018 report shows that NYC is losing in <br />popularity to Seattle and Denver.
