S. Korea, U.S. and Japan hold first military talks since Seoul terminated Japan intel-sharing pact

The head of South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, Chairman Park Han-ki, held a trilateral meeting in Washington on Tuesday with his U.S. and Japanese counterparts to discuss ways to further boost their alliance.<br />It marked their first three-way military talks since Seoul declared its intent to terminate its intel-sharing pact with Japan due to their strained trade ties.<br />The meeting was arranged by the U.S. to discuss the current military alliance in the Asian Pacific region.<br />The United States has repeatedly expressed its disappointment over Seoul's decision regarding the intel-sharing pact,… and has asked South Korea to reconsider before the pact expires on November 22nd.<br />
