Yellowstone Hires First<br />Female Chief Ranger.<br />Yellowstone National Park recently<br />announced the hiring of Sarah Davis <br />as the park’s 18th chief ranger.<br />Although other females have temporarily held<br />the position, Davis will be the first official female<br />chief ranger in the park’s 147 year history. .<br />Sarah is an outstanding leader with<br />a track record of high performance,<br />strategic thinking, and collaboration, Superintendent Cam Sholly, via CNN.<br />Davis has a 20-year history<br />of working in national parks,<br />having previously held positions<br />in seven other parks.<br />At Yellowstone, she will act as chief of resource and<br />visitor protection, overseeing the performances of law<br />enforcement, emergency services and much more. .<br />She will begin her new role in<br />the park this coming December.
