Los Angeles County Issues Ban<br />on Flavored Tobacco Products.<br />On Oct. 2, Los Angeles County’s Board of<br />Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt<br />a ban on all flavored tobacco products. .<br />The ban includes e-cigarettes, menthol<br />cigarettes and chewing tobacco.<br />Retailers in the county now have 180 days<br />to clear their shelves of the products<br />and apply for updated licenses. .<br />Online sales of the products will<br />reportedly not be prohibited.<br />The Board’s decision adds Los Angeles<br />to the list of localities banning the flavored<br />products, which includes states such as<br />New York, Michigan and Massachusetts. .<br />Their decisions were all motivated by the rising<br />health crisis surrounding vaping, which has already<br />been linked to 14 deaths in the United States
