Let's now go over to our Lee Jee-hyun at the weather center for more updates on Typhoon Mitag.<br />Jee-hyun, give us the details.<br />Good morning, Typhoon Mitag, which brought violent weather conditions to Jeju and Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsang-do provinces, headed out to waters off Uljin around 6 AM this morning. The typhoon is forecast to lose steam and weaken to a tropical depression by 9 PM this evening in the East Sea.<br />Rain has tapered off in most regions,... while the eastern parts of the country including Gangneung in Gangwon-do Province and the eastern-most islands of Dokdo and Ullengdo are seeing heavy rain of 40 millimeters per hour. Expect to see more heavy showers into midnight, possibly up to 150 millimeters.<br />Typhoon warnings have been lifted in the southern parts of the country, while warnings still remain in place for the eastern parts of Gangwon-do Province and the East Sea. A high seas advisory remains in place for parts of the South, West and East seas.<br />Daily highs today will be a couple of notches higher in most parts on this National Foundation Day with a slim chance of sunshine.<br />That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.<br />
