Hurricane Lorenzo has battered the autonomous region of the Azores in the mid-Atlantic yesterday (October 2).<br /><br />Footage shows waves crashing against the coast of Pico Island after the adverse weather arrived during the night. <br /><br />Waves over 15 metres and winds over 170km/h are predicted.
