A brave shop assistant in Malaysia chased a suspected robber and took him down like a Hollywood action hero.<br /><br />The shopper in a red cap fled after he allegedly stole items from the hypermarket NSK Trade City in Selangor state, Malaysia.<br /><br />CCTV footage from September 24 shows how the man darted past the member of staff, which caught his attention.<br /><br />The shop assistant ran after the robber and dived towards him - sending them both sliding along the floor.<br /><br />The alleged thief tried to wrestle his way out of the tangled before the others shoppers helped to pin him down.<br /><br />Several more shoppers crowded round to subdue the man before police arrived and arrested him.<br /><br />The NSK Trade CIty shopping mall said in a statement that the alleged shoplifter had been taken away by police for questioning.<br /><br />They added: ''We have given CCTV evidence to police and they will investigate what happened fully. We are very thankful to the staff member who caught the thief and everyone who helped.''
