Britain, France and Germany have requested a closed-door meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss North Korea's recent test firing of a submarine-launched ballistic missile.<br />Thursday's request was made after North Korea announced the successful launch of what it said was a new type of SLBM.<br />The three sides asked for the meeting to take place on Friday, local time.<br />UN Security Council resolutions ban the North from testing ballistic missile technology.<br />
