Bernie Sanders Suffered a Heart Attack, Campaign Says.<br />The 2020 presidential candidate was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital earlier in the week due to chest pain.<br />At the time, the 78-year-old's campaign said he had <br />"artery blockage.".<br />The Vermont senator's doctors <br />say that he suffered a <br />"myocardial infarction.".<br />This is a medical term <br />for a heart attack. .<br />The Senator was stable upon arrival and taken immediately to the cardiac catheterization laboratory, at which time two stents were placed in a blocked coronary artery in a timely fashion. All other arteries <br />were normal, Bernie Sanders' doctors, via statement.<br />Sanders has been <br />released from Desert Springs <br />Hospital Medical Center.<br />While leaving, he told the press that <br />he is feeling great and ready to get <br />back on the campaign trail.<br />After two and a half days in the hospital, I feel great, and after taking a short time off, I look forward to getting back to work, Bernie Sanders, via statement.<br />Doctors add that the senator has made good progress since undergoing surgery.<br />On October 15, Sanders is expected to participate in the next scheduled presidential debate
