홍콩 시위대-경찰 격렬 충돌…中 주둔군 막사 '경고 깃발' 올라<br /><br />A ban on face masks inflamed an already tense situation in Hong Kong over the weekend with violence occurring on Saturday and Sunday.<br />And for the first time during the four months of demonstrations, the protests have provoked a reaction from one of the city's army bases.<br />For more on this and other news around the world, let's turn to our Kim Da-mi.<br />Da-mi, tell us more about this worrying new development.<br />Right Mark, a yellow flag warning protesters was spotted on the roof of the People's Liberation Army barracks on Sunday night.<br />According to local media, the flag read "all consequences are at your own risk" in English and Cantonese.<br />The first such reaction came after clashes flared up between Hong Kong police and demonstrators.<br />Tens of thousands of people marched through Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Tong over the weekend, demanding greater democracy.<br />Most covered their faces with medical masks,...even facepaint and Halloween masks, shouting that face masks should not be illegal.<br />The protests again turned violent,...with police firing tear gas at protesters while some protesters threw bricks and petrol bombs.<br />Last Friday, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam invoked the Emergency Regulations Ordinance to ban the wearing of face masks at protests.<br />
