Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove says Prime Minister Boris Johnson has had "frank" conversations with numerous EU leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel. <br /> <br />Mr Gove adds the response from the heads has been an "openness" to exploring a Brexit deal. <br /> <br />His comments come following reports Ms Merkel told the prime minister a deal with the European Union was "essentially impossible".
