Under her plan, workers earning less than $75,000 a year<br />would qualify for full payment during their absence. Higher-wage households would also receive<br />pay, but in progressively smaller amounts. The plan would reportedly be funded by unspecified<br />“general revenues,” income taxes on the top 1%<br />of income earners and new payroll taxes. An estimated $180 million would also<br />be brought in by fining corporations that<br />fail to narrow gender-based pay gaps.
