Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran told the press on Wednesday that he hopes Utusan Melayu (Malaysia) Berhad would reconsider shutting down its operations. <br /><br />He added that the government’s Employment Insurance System would be able to help Utusan employees who have lost their jobs.<br /><br />It was reported that the employees were told to pack up their belongings and leave the office by 1pm as the cash-strapped company officially ceased operations.
