Hundreds of thousands of people in California will be without electricity through Thursday.<br />California's largest utility, Pacific Gas and Electric, had shut off power to more than 800-thousand customers across Central and Northern California as of Wednesday morning.<br />They are trying to reduce the risk of wildfires caused by dry and windy conditions.<br />According to local reports, citizens have secured emergency rations and batteries for the blackout, and long lines of cars were spotted at gas stations.<br />Utilities malfunctions have sparked some of the state's most deadliest fires, including last year's Camp Fire.<br />
