Samsung Display has agreed to invest nearly eleven billion U.S. dollars into South Korea's next-generation display industry through 2025,... and help localize technologies related to parts, materials, and equipment.<br />The decision was welcomed on Thursday by President Moon Jae-in,... who described it as the start of strengthening South Korea's display industry into one that no country will dare challenge.<br />An event celebrating the investment was held this morning at a Samsung Display factory in Chungcheongnam-do Province.<br />President Moon promised the government will make efforts of its own,... by injecting more than 334-million dollars into the sector over the next seven years.<br />He added the government will fully support the development of key parts used in OLED equipment,... and boost the exchange of parts and materials between smaller companies.<br />
