The Nobel Prize in Literature winners are announced.<br />Polish author Olga Tokarczuk and from Austria, Peter Handke were awarded the honors for the year 2018 and 2019 respectively.<br />Each laureate receives over 9-hundred-10 thousand U.S. dollars in prize money.<br />This marks the second time in the academy's 1-hundred-18-year history that two literature prizes are given in the same year.<br />Last year it was postponed due to allegations of sexual misconduct in the Nobel committee.<br />
