Third of 2,400 people arrested in Hong Kong are under 18: Hong Kong Chief Secretary

Nearly 24-hundred people have been arrested during the four months of pro-democracy demonstrations in Hong Kong.<br />This is according to Hong Kong's Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung on Thursday.<br />Nearly a third of those arrested are under 18,...and among of them, around 100 students were under 16 years old.<br />Describing the numbers as "shocking" and "heartbreaking," the secretary urged parents and teachers to prevent their children from participating in "illegal or violent acts."<br />During the unrest in the city, an 18-year-old student was shot in the shoulder with a live round.<br />
