DeAngelo Williams Has Paid For 500<br />Mammograms in Honor of Late Mother.<br />Since 2015, former NFL player DeAngelo Williams<br />has been covering the cost of mammograms<br />for women across the United States.<br />His commitment to fighting<br />breast cancer is in honor of his<br />late mother, Sandra Hill.<br />She tragically passed away from<br />the disease in 2014 at age 53.<br />Through his nonprofit organization, The<br />DeAngelo Williams Foundation, Williams<br />hosts “53 Strong for Sandra” events. .<br />At each event, the foundation<br />sponsors mammograms for 53 women.<br />According to 'Today,' that has added up to<br />a total of 500 sponsored mammograms.<br />To be able to help all these women is amazing.<br />This can be life-changing for these women …<br />We are enabling them to get this care that no<br />one should ever be denied or not have access to, DeAngelo Williams, via ‘People’.<br />The foundation hopes to eventually host<br />free mammogram events in every state. .<br />DeAngelo wants to ensure that no woman<br />(or man) fights breast cancer alone, Risalyn Williams, via ‘Today’
