Issa Rae Lends Her Voice<br />to Google Assistant.<br />Google recently announced the addition of actress Issa Rae<br />to their Google Assistant software for a limited time. .<br />In order to switch to Rae’s<br />voice, users in the United<br />States simply have to say,<br />“Hey Google, talk like Issa.”.<br />According to Rae, working with<br />Google was an “organic process.”.<br />I was in talks to do this last year and was just<br />really intrigued, like, 'What? They want my<br />voice? Why?' … Then, you know, I realized that<br />I use Google Assistant frequently anyway and<br />just thought about how cool it would be to do, Issa Rae, via CNN.<br />Rae reportedly spent many hours in the<br />studio recording various phrases and<br />words, a process she called “challenging.”.<br />I'm just so used to reading them. So you're<br />like, 'Oh, I've never actually had to say this<br />word out loud.’ … It was unique. I'd never<br />done anything like that before, Issa Rae, via CNN.<br />Rae is the second celebrity voice to be featured on<br />Google’s artificial intelligence-powered software.<br />John Legend previously made a cameo<br />on Google Assistant in April 2019.
