With African swine fever spreading among wild boars near the DMZ, soldiers will be sent to shoot and kill the animals to keep them from spreading the virus.<br />The government announced the plan on Sunday... after four infected boars were found dead over the weekend in Cheolwon and Yeoncheon.<br />From tomorrow, the soldiers will be tasked with culling all boars within three-hundred square kilometers of those sites.<br />Also, barbed wire will be used to enclose an area within five kilometers of them to keep the boars from fleeing.<br />Elsewhere, traps will be set up and drones with thermal sensors will be used to detect animals that are infected.<br />There are also plans in the works to give bounties to civilians who capture or kill boars in the area.<br />
