Tax experts and economists have deemed Malaysia’s economic growth forecast of 4.8% next year as being “quite optimistic,” in light of the challenging external environment.<br /><br />On the sales and services tax (SST), Axcelasia Taxand Sdn Bhd’s Veerinderjeet Singh said while the goods and services tax (GST) had been a more efficient tax collection system, SST, which the Pakatan Harapan government introduced, can work with close monitoring.
