Hansson, Nobel Academy Secretary General, via NPR News The Nobel academy highlighted <br />the economists efforts in chunking <br />down issues of global poverty into <br />smaller, more manageable questions. Esther Duflo is the youngest <br />person and the second <br />woman to win the <br />prize in economics. She teaches at MIT <br />with Abhijit Banarjee. <br />The two are married. Michael Kremer is a Fellow of the <br />American Academy of Arts and Sciences. <br />He is a professor at Harvard University. The three recipients will split <br />the $915,300 monetary award.
