Eddie Van Halen Has Throat Cancer The "Jump" guitarist is <br />said to be "doing OK." The 64-year-old rocker has reportedly <br />travelled between the US and Germany <br />the past five years to receive radiation treatments. According to TMZ, <br />Van Halen believes he got cancer <br />as a result of a metal guitar pick. <br />He would cradle the pick in his mouth. Eddie Van Halen, <br />via 'Billboard' Van Halen was diagnosed <br />with tongue cancer in 2000. <br />Close to a third of his <br />tongue was removed. Some of the cancer cells <br />migrated down to his throat and <br />doctors would scrape them out.
