Sembrong MP Hishammuddin Hussein has dismissed the claim that he is blocking PKR president Anwar Ibrahim from becoming the next prime minister.<br /><br />He said Anwar's remarks about him in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday did not make sense as he held no position in Umno and they were in the opposition.<br /><br />Yesterday Anwar had in the Dewan Rakyat made veiled references about an effort to destabilise Pakatan Harapan when debating the Budget 2020 speech.<br /><br />Anwar then inferred that former Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein was working on a plan and advised MPs not to fear threats of prosecution against them. However, he did not elaborate.
