Local researchers have discovered a way to replace the electrode materials local companies have been sourcing from Japan.
According to the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology on Wednesday,... a researching team led by Doctor Yun Chang-hun... has developed a laser-based heating process to raise electrical conductivity in transparent electrodes.
These items are often used in making flexible displays.
Electrode materials so far were imported by Korean companies, but the laser heating process is expected to become a suitable substitute.
The findings have been posted online on science journal Materials Horizon published by the UK's Royal Society of Chemistry.
