Moon aide says gov't has fundamental obligation to create jobs

청와대 "재정 일자리 창출, 정부의 당연한 책무"<br /><br />South Korea's presidential office is rejecting claims that the recent jump in employment is due to outsized government spending.<br />Speaking to reporters Sunday, the presidential secretary for job creation said that while creating jobs is a fundamental obligation of the government, only one tenth of its budget this year has been used expressly for that purpose.<br />He contrasted that with previous administrations, which he said had dedicated whole supplementary budgets to job creation alone.<br />Last month, South Korea had its best employment rate for September in 23 years, and the unemployment rate fell by half a percentage point to 3-point-1 percent. <br />
