Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister Dr Xavier Jayakumar urged for Sabah and Sarawak to amend existing wildlife legislation in order to increase punishment for poachers.<br /><br />He said this would be in tandem with the Federal Government’s move to implement heavier penalty and jail terms in efforts to tackle wildlife crimes.<br /><br />Another adult bull pygmy elephant was found shot dead with its tusks missing at a plantation in Beluran district on Sunday.
