More than 1,000 students took part in the giant annual foam fight at Scotland's oldest university on Monday (October 21).<br /><br />Students dressed up in flamboyant costumes before they were showered in a sea of white foam on the University lawns where Prince William and Kate once met. <br /><br />The messy display marks the end of festivities where first-year students say thank you to their senior mentors identified as their university "parents."<br /><br />Fancy dress outfits included nuns, bananas and babies.
