A herd of wild elephants took some time off to have a relaxing, and very messy, mud bath together at a safari park in South Africa.<br /><br />The herd was filmed taking a mud bath at the Madikwe Game Reserve on August 23.<br /><br />Visual shows the herd of seven elephants, three adults, three babies and one adolescent, all in the hole at the same time. <br /><br />While the adult elephants sprayed themselves with the mud, the younger ones tried to mimic their action.<br /><br />After spraying itself with a good amount of mud water, an elephant sat down to relax, before eventually all seven got up to leave. <br /><br />This behaviour of elephants is not uncommon as mud baths help them protect their skin from being sunburnt.
