Zion Williamson Out 6-8 Weeks After Knee Surgery<br />.<br />Williamson had surgery for a torn meniscus <br />in his right knee on Monday.<br />.<br />Williamson will miss at least the first <br />20 games of the regular season.<br />.<br />New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry <br />thought Williamson injured his knee on <br />Oct. 13 against the San Antonio Spurs.<br />.<br />Williamson did not travel with the team <br />for the Pelicans' final preseason game <br />against the New York Knicks.<br />.<br />Williamson averaged 23.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and shot 71.4% in four preseason games.<br />.<br />The former Duke forward was drafted <br />by the Pelicans with the No. 1 overall pick <br />in June's NBA Draft.<br />.<br />We have a deep team.
