I think that could
very well be a milestone, Jim Bridenstine, via Huffpost.
He went on to admit that
whoever it ends up being is probably
too young to even be an astronaut yet.
A crewed Mars landing will
most likely not occur until
the 2030s, as NASA is currently
focused on the moon.
As of now, the first woman
is scheduled to go to
the moon in 2024.
I have a daughter. She is 11 years old,
and I want her to see herself in the same
position that our current, very diverse
astronaut corps currently sees itself, having
the opportunity to go to the moon, Jim Bridenstine, via Future US Inc
