Washington Nationals Win<br />Game One of World Series.<br />On Oct. 22, the Washington Nationals defeated the<br />Houston Astros 5-4 in the first game of the World Series. .<br />The Nationals are now ahead<br />1-0 in the best-of-seven series.<br />This marks the first-ever <br />World Series win for the Nationals.<br />The Astro's initially had a 2-0 lead<br />in the first inning, but were held to<br />the two runs until the fourth inning.<br />Ryan Zimmerman's home run in the<br />second inning put the Nationals on the<br />board, with Juan Soto later tying the game<br />with a solo home run of his own. .<br />Soto then sealed the deal<br />in the fifth inning, bringing<br />in three runs to extend the<br />National's lead. .<br />According to MLB Stats, 18 of the last 22 teams<br />to win the first game of the series have gone<br />on to win the World Series championship.<br />The two teams will face off again in game two, <br />which is scheduled to take place on Oct. 23 <br />at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
