President Moon Jae-in has identified the overriding importance of reforming South Korea's education system based on fairness,... eliminating the influence of social status and privileges once and for all.<br />President Moon was chairing a meeting in Seoul this morning with government officials, including Education Minister Yoo Eun-hae, to discuss reforms the first such meeting he's held since taking office.<br />It comes just three days after he highlighted the importance of improving the college admission system in his budget speech at the National Assembly.<br />At the center of the plan is increasing the proportion of regular admissions for college,... which focuses more on academic test scores instead of extracurricular activities.<br />However, as that isn't considered enough, the president says there also needs to be a more impartial screening of students' records.<br />He ordered officials to come up with relevant measures by November.<br />
