South Korea's consumer sentiment rose for the second consecutive month in October.
According to the Bank of Korea, the consumer sentiment index came to 98-point-six for this month, up one-point-seven points from September.
The central bank attributed the rise to optimism over the U.S.-China trade negotiations and higher stock prices.
But the figure is still below 100, meaning there are more pessimists than optimists about the local economy.
But inflation expectations edged down point-one percentage points to 1-point-seven percent, the lowest figure since the data release began in 2002.
