Spanish police and protesters clashed in the streets of Barcelona on Saturday night as a pro-independence demonstration turned violent.<br /><br />Footage shows protesters surrounding a police vehicle and hurling projectiles at it.<br /><br />Moments later, police charge swinging their batons. <br /><br />Other footage filmed nearby showed police firing rubber bullets at protesters and hitting them repeatedly with their batons.<br /><br />At one point, a large group of demonstrators was seen driving back police.
