The Indian city of Ayodhya set a Guinness World Record on Saturday by illuminating hundreds of thousands of lamps as part of the annual Hindu festival of Diwali.<br />The city was awarded the certificate after representatives from the Guinness World Records witnessed via drone cameras the lighting of 409-thousand oil lamps.<br />According to local media, over six-thousand students and volunteers took part in the illumination.<br />Diwali, which is also known as the "Festival of Lights,"... is one of the most important Hindu festivals in India that lasts for five days.<br />This year, it is celebrated from October 25th to the 29th.<br />
