A terrifying video caught when a car struck an auto-rickshaw and was sent flying into a river in north India. <br /><br />In Madhya Pradesh's Niwar area in Tikamgarh district, a family travelling in a Wagon R car on October 28 hit an auto-rickshaw on a bridge over the Satara river. <br /><br />The car was sent into the water and fortunately was at an angle that kept it afloat, allowing the passengers to try and climb out. <br /><br />There were five people in the car including a five-month-old child. As soon as the car fell into the river a man climbed out the window carrying the baby out to save her. <br /><br />Standing on the car he threw his baby over the bridge so that the crowd of onlookers could catch it. <br /><br />Unfortunately he missed and the baby fell into the river again, prompting a courageous bystander to jump in the river and rescue the child.<br /><br />Soon others jumped in and with the help of ropes they rescued all of the trapped passengers one-by-one. <br /><br />According to the eyewitness it took them around more than an hour to rescue all of them. All the victims were admitted to a nearby hospital, where after first aid all of them were later discharged.
