The South Korean government is moving to engage with European countries in joint R&D in materials, parts and equipment technology.<br />The trade ministry said Thursday the government is planning to forge a joint R&D program next month with European countries including Austria and Spain to secure technology in next-generation semiconductors and high-tech materials.<br />It added that the joint R&D program would help diversify global demand and the supply chain.<br />
