New San Bernardino Wildfire Forces <br />500 More Homes to Evacuate.<br />The Hillside fire broke out at around <br />1:40 a.m. PT Thursday morning, nearly <br />70 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.<br />The blaze scorched at least <br />200 acres in a matter of hours.<br />San Bernardino County Fire Chief <br />Don Trapp commented Thursday morning.<br /> At this point, initial assessments are we have six homes and two outbuildings consumed or damaged by the fire, San Bernardino County Fire Chief Don Trapp, <br />via statement.<br />The firefighters' main opponent <br />at this time is the wind, with gusts <br />up to 60 mph spreading the fires.<br />This fire spread downhill very very rapidly through the night and into the early morning hours, San Bernardino County Assistant Fire Chief <br />Kathleen Opliger, via statement.<br />Aprroximately 1,300 residents <br />were forced to evacuate.<br />Two more fires also erupted in California <br />on Thursday morning: the Copper Fire near <br />northern Mexico and the 46 Fire in the Jurupa Valley.<br />The 46 Fire was caused by a car that <br />set on fire after being chased by police
