The city of Jecheon, in Chungcheongbuk-do Province, is known for its beautiful harmony between the mountains and the nearby water.<br />Now that we're near the peak of autumn, the views there are even more spectacular.<br />Our Lee Kyung-eun is standing by in Jecheon to bring you live pictures.<br />Kyung-eun, how's it looking there?<br />Hi Devin, I am cruising through Cheongpung Lake in the city of Jecheon.<br />And the place where I am standing right now offers one of the most breathtaking views of the autumn leaves.<br />Now, to give you our exact location,...we are close to Oksunbong Peak.<br />It is one of the 10 Scenic Views of Jecheon, with a huge stone wall coming out of the middle of the vast waters.<br />This is the highlight of the ferry ride,... where you can enjoy the most beautiful scenery of the lake.<br />Also, during the 2-hour course, the ferry glides past Gudanbong Peak - one of 8 Scenic Views of Danyang city,....as well as Oksun Bridge.<br />All these natural attractions are at their most impressive during autumn,... because of all these colorful leaves.<br />If you come here to visit the lake, you can also check out other attractions along the lakeside.<br />There's Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex where you can see Korean traditional architecture and artifacts.<br />And on top of Bibongsan Mountain, you can look down on the entire city.<br />Also, you can enjoy some extreme sports at Cheongpung Land which is located right next to the cruise ship boarding platform.<br />As all these sites are located near each other, they are easy to visit.<br />And people here say that Cheongpung Lake is the perfect place to start your tour of Jecheon.<br />But if you can't make it here, there are other places to see the autumn leaves.<br />We normally say that autumn foliage is at its peak when 80 percent of the trees on a mountain have changed color.<br />And because leaves change color as the weather gets cold, the changes begin from the north of the country and spread down south.<br />So, places like Seoraksan, Bukhansan, and Chiaksan are already seeing vibrant colors,...while southern regions and Jeju island will reach their peak soon.<br />That's all I have for now, back to you Devin.<br />
