An elderly cyclist luckily survived being run over by a truck in southern China.<br /><br />In CCTV video of the scene, filmed in the city of Beihai in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on October 26, a truck knocked down a 78-year-old cyclist after it turned a corner.<br /><br />The cyclist then went under the bottom of the truck as it drove over him. <br /><br />According to the truck driver Yang, since the cyclist was in the truck's blind spot, Yang did not see the old man.<br /><br />After Yang realised what had happened, he helped carry the old man to the side of the road. He then sent the old man to hospital and called the police. <br /><br />The old man suffered fractures to his toes and ribs and was hospitalised.<br /><br />Yang paid the medical costs for the old man's treatment and also hired a nurse to take care of him.
